Brenda Kaye (Hurley) Wolford

Brenda Kaye Wolford, 58, of Majestic, KY, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  She was born March 16, 1959 in Williamson, WV, a daughter of the late Jimmy & Ethel Ann “Hunt” Hurley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William R. “Bill” Wolford; siblings: Nellie Mae Hurley, Carter Hurley, & three infant brothers: one brother-in-law: Dennis Stump; and her little dog: Ginger.

Brenda was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.  She enjoyed singing in church, shopping, and was an excellent cook & housekeeper.  Family reunions were precious to Brenda, as her life revolved around family.  She loved her children & grandchildren.  She would take care of her nieces & nephews and was like a second mom to many of them.  Being someone who loved the summertime, she would look so forward to taking them to enjoy a day at the pool.  These and other wonderful memories Brenda leaves behind for her family & friends to cherish.

Brenda is survived by three daughters: Bridgette (Matthew) Layne, Jamie (Travis) Greene, both of Owenton, KY, Jennifer (Lee) Mounts of Freeburn, KY; three brothers: Jerry “Baker” Wolford of Georgetown, KY, Henry (Sidina) Hurley of Churchill, TN, Johnny Ray (Teresa) Hurley of Freeburn, KY; two sisters: Loretta Angie Stump of Kimper, KY, Shelby Jean (Marshall) Robinette of Betsy Layne, KY; two grandchildren: Madison Leigh (Andrew) Green of Georgetown, KY, Hayden Matthew Layne of Owenton, KY; special friends: Helen Blankenship & Rochella Hurley; and a host of nieces & nephews who she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverends: Harold Layne, Odis Blankenship, Larry Rife, and L.C. Hunt officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Wolford-Ferrell Cemetery at Stopover, KY. 

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home with special services at 7:00 P.M.
