Carolyn Rayburn Blankenship, 55, of Mason, OH, formerly of Majestic, KY, entered Heaven’s gates on December 24, 2016.

She was born January 4, 1961 in Majestic, KY, a daughter of Gaynell Rayburn and the late Bobby Rayburn.

In addition to her father, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband: Danny Ray Blankenship; paternal grandparents: Joe and Nanny Rayburn; and her maternal grandparents: Nancy and Sam Spangler.

A loving mother and homemaker, Carolyn was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Faith Heartland Baptist Church and enjoyed attending services and bible study. Over the years, she had become very involved with the church. She loved to share her testimony of faith and telling people about God. Her days were spent loving and caring and worrying about her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her life and she enjoyed every moment with them.

Carolyn is survived by her mother: Gaynell Rayburn, Mason, OH; one brother: Keith Rayburn, Mason, OH; one sister: Misty (Dave) Kakaris, Mason, OH; one son: Danny (Chrystie) Blankenship, Maineville, OH; one daughter with whom she resided and had made her home: Karen (Mark) Sanson, Mason, OH; and three grandchildren: Madison, Landyn and Zoe.

Carolyn also cared deeply for: Jared, Kenzie, Jaidon, Maci, Donessa (Kyle), Betty and Frank Sanson; Gene Rayburn and family; the Chapman Family; her church family; and her best friends: Maxine Wolford & Flo Baker.

The family will receive friends at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 28 and Thursday December 29, 2016 at Faith Tabernacle, Majestic, KY. Special services will be held 7:00 P.M. nightly with Reverends Charles Meek & Harold Layne.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 30, 2016 at the church with Reverend Jack Kidwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Buddy Mounts Cemetery, Majestic, KY.
