Carolyn Blankenship, age 57 of Freeburn, wife of Tommy Blankenship, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her residence. She was born November 9, 1959 a daughter of the late Archie and Fayetta (Fields) Blankenship. Carolyn was a homemaker and a faithful member of Eagle’s Nest Church, Belfry, KY.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her father: Archie Blankenship and mother: Fayetta (Fields) Blankenship, one brother: Ernie Clell Blankenship and one sister: Vanessa Coleman.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 41 years: Tommy (Catfish) Blankenship and two sons: Mark Edward (Bowzer) Blankenship and Kaden Lee Bowling and one granddaughter: Heather Fletcher. Carolyn also had one brother: Mark Blankenship and two sisters: Judy Gibson and Wanda (Larry) Wolford. She is also survived by two nieces: Hope Mounts and Kayla Bowling, two nephews: Tony Jr. (Bridgette) Smith and Larry Keith (Tricia) Wolford, four special nieces: Geraldine Shannon, Kimberly Wolford, Valerie Baker and Kaitlin Hackney, two great grandnieces: Emily Faith Wolford and Charity Danielle Mounts, one grandnephew: Logan Keith Wolford and a host of family and friends.
A memorial visitation will begin Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Jones & West Funeral Home Chapel, Phelps, KY with Will Compton officiating and special singing by Bonnie Compton. Arrangements are under the kind and professional care of Jones & West Funeral Home.
