Charles Edward Adkins, 52, of Ohio, formerly of Kimper, KY, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Buckeye Lake, OH.
Charles was born January 19, 1964 in Kimper, KY, a son of the late Victor Eugene Adkins and Rosie Slone Dillon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather: Arthur Dillon; brother: James Gregory Adkins; & sister: Linda Adkins.
Charles was a former tow motor & forklift operator and was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing and working on cars. Charles was a handyman who could fix anything and was always tinkering on something. He was a perfectionist and had a great sense of humor. Even when he was sick, Charles tried to make everyone laugh.
Survivors include daughters: Tiffany Adkins of Fort Wayne, IN, Alyssa Feaster of Coshocton, OH; fiancée: Misty Turner and her children: Adam, Brittany, Ceara, & Brandon; one brother: Paul (Tracy) Adkins of Newark, OH; one sister: Brenda Cooper of Newark, OH; grandchildren: Layla, & his fiancee Misty’s grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the Cedar Bottom Old Regular Baptist Church, Kimper, KY with Elder A. B. Thacker & others officiating.
Burial will follow in the Slone Family Cemetery, Kimper, KY.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday at the church with services at nightly at 7:00 P.M.
