Clyde "Punk" Bowman

Clyde "Punk" Bowman JR., 59, of McAndrews, KY, passed away March 18, 2016 at Pikeville Medical Center.

Clyde was born August 8, 1956 in Columbus, OH, a son of the late Clyde SR and Ruby Clevenger Bowman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Diana Sellards, and an infant brother.

Clyde was an ordained minister in the John Thomas Association and a member of the Octavia Freewill Baptist Church.  He enjoyed reading, working with his hands, and hunting & fishing.  Clyde was also a musician and enjoyed playing the guitar with his family.  He loved playing with his grandchildren & was a wonderful papaw, husband, dad, and father-in-law.

Survivors include his wife Lois Bowman of McAndrews, KY; one son: Joshua Bowman of McAndrews;  one daughter: Elizabeth Nicole (William) Sanchez of Lexington, KY; four brothers: Danny (Vina) Bowman of Johns Creek, KY, Earsel (Sheri) Bowman of McAndrews, KY, Larry (Susie) Bowman of McAndrews, KY, Kenny Bowman of Magnolia, KY; two grandchildren: Elias Sanchez, Emilee Nunley (daughter of Robert & Sandy Nunley), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, Octavia Church family, and great friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Octavia Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Gerria Reynolds conducting & Rev. Roger Blackburn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bowman Family Cemetery at McAndrews.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the church with special services 7:00 P.M. with Dennis Hinkle and services 7:00 P.M. Monday with Donnie Harris.
