Donald Lee Prater, 50, of Phelps, KY, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his home.
He was born July 25, 1965 in Chicago, IL, a son of Josephine ‘Wallace’ Prater of Phelps, KY and the late Autry Gene Prater.
Donald was of the Church of God Faith. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family. He was loved and will be missed.
Survivors in include three daughters: Audrionna Duty (Barry) Of Matewan, WV, Misty Prater of McCarr, KY, Lorrie Prater (Quincy Harvey) of Matewan, WV; one brother: Autry Jr. Prater (Deanne) of Freeburn, KY; six sisters: Deborah Kay Chafin of Majestic, KY, Patricia Sherpinskas (Bobby) of Blackberry City, WV, Dolly Smith (Franklin) of Lynn, WV, Shelby Prater of Logan, WV, Charlotte Prater of Majestic, KY, Tonya Mills of Freeburn, KY; ten grandchildren: Brooke, Barry Anthony, Paige, Sky, Bryson, Kaci, Hunter, Lexi, Ben, Jeremy; great friend: Sandy King; and friends who are like brothers: Keith Prater & Walter Prater along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 12:00 P.M. October 22, 2015 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Dingess, Rev. Doug Maynard, & Rev. Bobby Dale Wolford officiating.
Burial will follow in the Buddy Mounts Cemetery, Majestic, KY.
Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home with services Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.
