Floyd "Junebug" Estep

Floyd “Junebug” Estep Jr., 61, of Matewan, WV, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.  He was born October 6, 1956 in Grundy, VA, a son of the late Millard & Juanita “Casey” Estep. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Glen Estep, Johnny Casey; one sister: Rene June Lockart; two nephews: Marcus Lockhart, Chris Cline; & two brothers-in-law: George Bishop & James “Mickey” Cline.

Junebug was an artist who enjoyed creating drawings & paintings.  He also enjoying fishing.  He was a collector and a humble & generous man who loved giving things to his friends & loved ones.

Survivors include his companion & best friend: Barbara Salmons of Matewan, WV; three sisters: Travelene Bishop of Phelps, KY, Geraldine Casey of Pikeville, KY, Mabel Cline of Edgarton, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Pentecostal Tabernacle in Jesus’ Name, Edgarton, WV with Reverend Ronnie Wolford officiating.

Burial will follow in the Buddy Mounts Cemetery at Majestic, KY.  

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Friday at the church with services nightly at 7:00 P.M.
