James Boyd Helton, 77, of Phelps, KY, formerly of Salyersville, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.
He was born February 7, 1939 in Kentucky, a son of the late Tan & Cora Adkins Helton. James was of the Protestant faith and was a resident of the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center in Phelps.
He is survived by a niece: Linda (Billy) Simons of Lewisburg, KY; and the staff & residents of the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in the chapel of Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Conn officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home until the time of services.
