James Wolford Obituary

James Duffy “Uncle Bean” Wolford, 51, of Phelps, KY passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Biggs, KY.  He was born April 7, 1966 in Jamboree, KY to the late Leo and Imogene Blankenship Wolford.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Earl & Neal Wolford; three sisters: Judith, Dora Mae, & Ethel Wolford. 

James was a good person with a good heart. He loved helping people. He was of the Pentecostal faith. 

James is survived by his companion: Polly Jean Wolford of Phelps, KY; two sons: Duffy Lee “Ducken Butter” (Eva) Wolford of Phelps, KY, Cloyd James Blankenship (Mary Wolford) of Phelps, KY; one daughter: Elsie (Junior) Bailey of Magoffin Co., KY; two brothers: Phil (Jackie) Wolford of Stopover, KY, Fonso (Buffy) Wolford of Phelps, KY; five sisters: Princie (Robert) Casey of Phelps, KY, Mary Lou (Marshall) Daugherty of Phelps, KY, Carolee (James) Spencer of Phelps, KY, Irene (Seldon) Wright of Stopover, Ky, Marie (Randy) Hager of Pikeville , KY; grandchildren: Jeffery “Bossman”, Jasmine, Joshua “Big Ears”, Allison “Allycat”, Leona “Little Lee”, Isaiah “Zaya”, Austin (Belle); three great- grandchildren: Cameron, Carmen, & Bekka Jean; special friends: Steve Hamilton, Carl & Betty Casey, Laura J. Casey, & Keith Layne; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends & family to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 21st at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverend Gerald Fields & Jackie Wolford officiating.

Burial will follow in the Wolford Family Cemetery, Phelps, KY.  

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Monday & Tuesday at funeral home with special services nightly at 7:00 P.M.
