Ken Martin Jackson

Ken Martin Jackson, 59, of Matewan, WV, passed away Sunday, March 12th, 2017 in the arms of his brother.

Ken was born March 15th, 1957 in Matewan, WV, a son of Opal Jackson of Matewan, WV, and the late Conard Jackson.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother: Randall Jackson; and one sister: June Jackson.   

Ken was of the Apostolic faith and loved by his family very much.  He won’t have to suffer any longer.  He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

In addition to his mother Opal, Ken is survived by one son: Shawn Jackson of TN; one daughter: Kena Reed and her two children of Stone, KY; brothers: Jake Jackson of Eddyville, KY, Ricky (Kathy) Jackson of Thacker, WV, Larry Wolford of Matewan, WV; three sisters: Anna (Andrew) Etheridge of Wilson, NC, Erma Lou (Larry) Kennedy of Logan, WV, Brenda Gail Wolford of VA; as well as a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverend Bernard Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in the Thacker Cemetery #2 Thacker, WV with Mikey Thompson, Josh Thompson, Joey Smith, Mark Smith, Joe Jackson, & Thomas Hunt serving as pallbearers

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel.
