Leoda (Dotson) Coleman

Leoda Coleman, 72, of Stopover, KY, passed away March 17, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.

Leoda was born April 14, 1943 in Pike County, KY, a daughter of the late Leo and Ocie Raines Dotson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Dodge Coleman; one son: Dodge Coleman Jr.; one daughter: Sharon Wolford; two brothers: Roger and Charles Dotson; one sister: Judy Sheppard; and two grandsons: Jarrett Daniels & Zachary Birmingham.

Leoda was a homemaker and a good mommy.  She was of the Freewill Baptist faith and was baptized by Pastor Larry Rife.  She cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandsons & great-grandsons: Patrick & Jarrett Daniels, Justin & Austin Hardin, Braxton & Payton Hardin.    

Survivors include one son: Grant Coleman of Freeburn, KY; four daughters: Lucille (Elvis) Hardin of Stopover, KY, Liddie (Brian) Daniels of Stopover, KY, Charlida (Danny) Casey of Kimper, KY, Jeanetta (Greg) Birmingham of Alabama; two sisters: Nancy Coleman of Ohio, Betty Bartram of Charleston, WV; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverends Odis Blankenship, Larry Rife, and Charles Meek officiating.

Burial will follow at the Coleman Family Cemetery, Stopover, KY.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with services Sunday at 7:00 P.M.
