Will Malcolm Blankenship, 38, of Stopover, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born November 23, 1976 in Pike County, KY, a son of Will and Edna Blankenship of Stopover, KY.
Will was a logger and of the Church of God faith.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Joseph and Myrtle Blankenship; maternal grandparents: Ernest and Oma Blankenship; and a niece: Angel Vandyke.
Survivors in addition to his parents include one daughter: Cyriah Blankenship of Stopover, KY; seven sisters: Connie Young (Ralph) of Home Creek, VA, Carol Hurley of Stopover, KY, Anna Brown (Mack Jr.) of Big Rock, VA, Laura Vandyke (James), Stopover, KY, Patricia Adkins (Luther), Stopover, KY, Inis Hardin (Broc), Stopover, KY, and Betty Hunt (Roy) also of Stopover. Will is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish his memory.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, June 14th 2015 at the Jamboree Church of God with Rev. Odis Blankenship, Rev. Marvin Casey, and Rev. Eddie Stepp officiating.
Burial will follow in the Blankenship Cemetery, Stopover, KY.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday at the church with services nightly at 7:00 P.M.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY.
