Mickey B. Kendrick

Mickey B. Kendrick, 74, of McAndrews, KY, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Pikeville Medical Center.  He was born May 24, 1942 in McAndrews, KY, a son of the late Arvin & Trula “Chapman” Kendrick.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers: Buddy, Terry, Pank, Clint, Larry, & Gene Kendrick. 

Mickey was a member of the Canal Fulton Freewill Baptist Church of Canton, OH, and he had attended the Belfry Freewill Baptist Church for 37 years.  He was a truck driver for the Pike County Fiscal Court and he worked for the county for over 20 years.  Mickey loved his friends and family.  He also loved to ginseng, work in his vegetable & flower gardens, and enjoyed singing & playing music. 

Mickey is survived by his wife of 46 years: Marlene “Maynard” Kendrick of McAndrews, KY;  two sons: Marc (Teresa) Kendrick of McAndrews, KY, Matt (Jeannie) Kendrick of Rockcastle, KY; two brothers: Ronnie (Loretta) Kendrick, Gary (Loretta) Kendrick, both of Canton, OH; two sisters: Annetta (Mickey) Maynard of Galipolis, OH, Loretta (Raymond) Stanley of Massillon, OH; four grandchildren: Cassie Leigh Kendrick, Makayla Hubbard Kendrick, Valerie Nicole Kendrick & Marcus Brayden Boyd Kendrick; and one special young lady who was like a grandchild: Haley Anderson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends & family to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, April 29th at the Belfry Freewill Baptist Church, Huddy, KY with Reverend Roger Blackburn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Stepp Cemetery, Hatfield, KY with nephews acting as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Brayden Boyd Kendrick & Ron Spears.  

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Friday at the church with special singing at 7:00 P.M.
