Tony Milisitz

Anton Micheal “Tony” Milisitz, 59, of Phelps, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Pikeville Medical Center. 

Born November 12, 1956 in Levittown, New York, he was a son of the late John & Ruth “Tootsie” Milisitz.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: John Milisitz. 

Tony was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Jesus of the Mountains Catholic Church in Phelps, KY until the time the church dissolved.  Thereafter he attended The Lord’s House at Phelps.  Tony was a chef for 35 years, serving many restaurants in New York and Florida.  He was a former custodian for Phelps High School and loved serving the Phelps community through Helping Ease Life’s Poverty Inc., delivering food boxes to those in need.  In his spare time, Tony loved to be with his family.  He will be missed by the many lives he has touched.

Survivors include his wife: Jennifer Wagner Milisitz; daughters: Michelle Marie Milisitz (Josh Diles) of Phelps, KY, Nikki Leigh (Brandon) Church of Kingsport, TN; one brother: Joseph Milisitz; three sisters: Laura (Ray) Messier, Ruth (Mike) Sutphin, & Jane Milisitz, all of Florida; five grandchildren: Logan, Elijah, Lukas, Nickolas, & Samuel; and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery, Smith Fork, Phelps, KY.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with special services 7:00 P.M.
