Patty Evans Obituary

Patty Ann “Coleman” Evans, 67, of Phelps, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Pikeville Medical Center. She was born March 26, 1952 at Matewan, WV, a daughter of the late Elsie & Octavia “Tavie” Wagner Coleman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Evans; two brothers, Roger Lee & Robert Lee Coleman; and one granddaughter, Randi Michelle Coleman.

Patty was a member of the Peter Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She was an LPN, having worked for 22 years for the Good Shephard Community Nursing Center in Phelps. She loved taking care of others. Patty also loved cooking for events at her church, and she was truly a wonderful mother.

Those left to honor her memory include two sons, Richard (Sondra) Coleman of Phelps, Mark (Connie) Coleman of Delaware, OH; four brothers, Floyd (Glenna) Coleman of Phelps, L.C. (Barbara) Coleman of Hardy, KY, Raymond Coleman of Ormond Beach, FL, Larry Joe Coleman of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Mildred (Ronnie) Spears of Radnor, OH, Tammy (Anthony) Skeete of Spartanburg, SC; six grandchildren, Michael (Christina) Coleman of Turkey Creek, KY, Jordan Coleman of Kimper, KY, Hayley Collins of Georgetown, KY, Alyssa Coleman, Kayla Coleman, McKenna Coleman, all of Delaware, OH; one great grandson, Aiden Coleman of Turkey Creek, KY; her little dog Bobby that she loved so much, and a host of nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Peter Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elders Jimmy Lee Smith, Jeff Dotson, and others officiating.

Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery, Calloway Branch of Phelps, KY with family & friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Monday & Tuesday at the church with special services nightly at 7:00 P.M.
