Alex Stiltner Obituary

Alex Carson Stiltner 89, of Stopover, KY passed away at his residence April 29th, 2023. He was born in Phelps, KY June 28th, 1933, to the late Ira and Sarah “Stumbo” Stiltner. In addition to his parents, Alex is preceded by two brothers, Gene, and Landon Stiltner.

Alex was a good husband, family man and a very hard worker. He enjoyed taking care of his horses when he was able.

Those surviving Alex include his sons, Sammy Dotson of Phelps, KY; David (Michelle) Hurley of Georgetown, KY; and Clark Hurley of Stopover, KY; brother, Glen Stiltner of Phelps, KY; grandchildren, Joseph Hurley, Samantha Tackett, and Jacob Hurley; great grandchildren, Brandon Tackett, and Bennett Hurley; and a host of family and friends.

Cremation is set to take place and burial at Hurley Cemetery in Stopover, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of Jones & West Funeral Home in Phelps, Kentucky. The guestbook may be signed at www.joneswestfh.com.
