Franklin Ross Obituary

Franklin D. Ross Sr. 80, of McCarr, Ky. passed away December 19, 2021, at Tug Valley ARH in South Williamson, Ky. He was born January 22, 1941. The son of the late John and Marie Ross, besides his parents, Franklin is preceded in death by five brothers: Bill, Bob, David, Willard and Randy Ross. One sister, Eve Ross.

Franklin was a Veteran of the US Army. He was a handyman of all trades and he loved listening to music in his spare time. He enjoyed his animals, especially his dogs. Franklin was a Christian and he loved the Lord. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends and all who knew and loved him.

Franklin leaves to mourn his passing, two sons, Franklin Jr. Ross, of Florida and Terry Hinkle of Taylorville, WV. One daughter, Teresa Hinkle also of Taylorville, WV. His companion, Jean Ferrell of McCarr, Ky. Franklin leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.

The family will start receiving friends at the Jones & West Funeral Home in Phelps, Ky. at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, December 23, 2021. Special services at 7:00 P.M. with brother Leonard D. Wolford. Cremation will take place after the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Jones & West Funeral Home at Phelps, Ky. Our guestbook may be signed at www.joneswestfh.com
