Louise (Roberts) Collins

Louise “Roberts” Collins of Avondale, WV passed away February 25, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center of Pikeville, KY. She was born October 29, 1948 in Yeager, WV, a daughter of the late Lacy Ford and Virginia Belle “Brewster” Roberts.  She was 72 years old.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Halsey Collins, sisters: Eloise Stinson, Mary Roberts, Christine Roberts, and Linda Auville. She is also preceded in death by an infant brother.

Louise loved fishing, horseback riding, reading her bible, and loved her dog, Thumper. She was an avid animal lover. She also loved digging for ginseng when she was younger & able and enjoyed being in the mountains.

Survivors remaining to honor her memory include her daughter: Lulu Collins (Randy Blankenship) of Stopover, KY; sisters: Charlotte (Jeff) Church of Garland, WV; brothers: Alvin (Testia) Roberts of Bartley, WV, Bernard (Lillie) Roberts of Garland, WV; brother-in-law: Gene Stinson of Garland, WV; grandchildren: Angel Lashae Louise Blankenship, Randy Halsey Collins, both of Woodman, KY. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

***UPDATED ARRANGEMENTS*** Due to flooding, funeral services will now be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Garland Church of The Living God with Reverend Kennie Green officiating.

Burial will follow at the Reed Cemetery of Avondale, WV.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. Thursday until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
