It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Codie Mounts-Sincell age 29, of Freeburn, Kentucky.  Codie was born at Pikeville, KY on February 4th, 1995, the loving son of Michael Sincell of Phelps, KY, and Georgzella “Sunshine” Chapman of Freeburn, KY.

Codie was preceded by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Mounts, step-grandmother, Bonnie Chapman, and his aunt, Sabrina Chapman.

Codie was of the Pentecostal faith and a former Phelps volunteer fireman.  He was an excellent football player and an avid UK basketball and football fan.  Codie was known for his unwavering love for his baby girl, Paris Ivy.  He was a  good-hearted person and he loved to help others, treating everyone the same no matter what their place in life was.  Codie enjoyed four-wheeling, ATV riding, and listening to country and bluegrass music.   He appreciated the company of older generations and looked forward to spending time with family and friends.

Those remaining to honor and remember Codie’s legacy include his parents, Michael Sincell of Phelps, KY, and Georgzella Chapman of Freeburn, KY; his beloved little girl, Paris Ivy Sincell of Tennessee; his cherished sister, Sierra Faith Sincell of Freeburn, KY, who he loved like a daughter.  Codie was her mentor throughout her childhood teaching her the important things of life; parental grandparents, Harold (Patricia Ann) Sincell of Louisa, KY; maternal grandfather, Sidney Chapman of Freeburn, KY; aunts, Brenda “Sincell” (Jason) Howard of Phelps, KY, Lisa Sincell (Steve) Maynard of Georgetown, KY, and Contrina (Shawn) Smith of Pikeville, KY; Betty (JD) Reese of Xenia, OH, and Rhonda (Dennis) Peterson of Hermantown, Minnesota; special uncles, Terry Chapman, Tritchell Chapman, Bobby Carrillo, and Willie Charles; cousins, Julia Lee, Heather Blankenship, Corey Bateman, Kaleigh Maynard, Connor Smith, Kaitlyn Cassady and Brittany Cassady and his lifelong friends who were more like brothers, Ralphie Rowe, Dalton Mounts, and Gary Sincell.
