Barbara Ellen Ball

Barbara Ellen “Simpkins” Ball, 72, of Thacker, WV, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  She was born December 9, 1946 to the late James Elmer & Zona Simpkins.

Barbara was of Christian faith and her favorite pastimes in life were fishing, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Those left to honor her memory include two sons: Thomas Warren (Bobbie Jo) Ball Jr. and Daniel Lee (Patty) Ball, both of Thacker, WV; two daughters: Rhonda Ball and Donna Justice, both of Phelps, KY; one sister: Patricia Ann Dye of Charleston, WV; sixteen grandchildren: Tristan, Kara, Jacklyn, Elisha, Jessica, Hannah, Cortland, Jacob, Megan, Angela, Danielle, Derek, Daniel, Ryan, Amber & Andrew; twelve great grandchildren: Ryder, Mathis, Lilah, Akira, Adam, Joyanna, Erin, Natalie, Caden, Brooklyn, Addison, and Brayden; two nephews: Charles Jones and Joseph Jones along with a host of nieces & nephews, and her little dog Maggie Moo.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverend Archie Dotson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ball Family Cemetery, Thacker, WV.

Visitation will begin on Friday 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with special services at 7:00 p.m.
