Beatrice (Blankenship) Daugherty

Beatrice Daugherty age 90, of Stopover, KY. departed this life on Monday, April 10th, 2023, at her home. Beatrice was born in Woodman, Ky., on November 6th, 1932, to the late Clarence Blankenship and Lily Sanson Blankenship. Besides her parents she was preceded by her husband Leo Daugherty, one son Bobby Daugherty, daughters, Nancy Daugherty Hurley, Bonnie Harvey, and Lily Daugherty. She is also preceded by brothers, Charlie Blankenship and Carl Blankenship, sister, Lona Mae Aslinger, grandchildren, Fred Aslinger, Nelson Harvey, Kissy Daniels, and Andrea Daugherty Coleman.

Beatrice is survived by sons, Paul (Jimetta) Daugherty of Stopover, Ky, and Kenny Daugherty of Phelps, Ky., daughter, Melinda Mae Daugherty of Stopover, Ky. sister, Deloris Hurley of Phelps, Ky. grandchildren, Bobby Daugherty Jr., Sandra Schettko, Terry Hurley, Tanya Hurley, Robin Aslinger, Amanda Harvey, Desiray Belcher, Jonathan Daugherty, Brittany Daugherty Scronce, Tyler Daugherty, and Shayanna Daugherty.  A host of great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.   

Beatrice was of the Pentecostal Faith. She had a big open heart. Everyone called her Maw B. She was an excellent mother to her children, and grandmother to her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 14th, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in Phelps, Ky at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Odis Blankenship, and Larry Rife officiating.  Visitation will be held Thursday, April 13th, 2023,  at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel.  Interment will conclude at Cole Cemetery in Jamboree, Ky. with friends and family serving as Pallbearers.
