Bobby Hackney

Bobby Hackney 78, of Phelps, Kentucky passed away May 23rd, 2023, at Hazard ARH.  She was born in Knott County, Kentucky on November 3rd, 1944, a daughter of the late Arnold and Marie “Hall” Thacker.  In addition to her parents, Bobby was also preceded by her husband, Alvin Hackney, great-grandson, Asher Howerton, brothers, Shelby Ray and Donald Forrest Thacker, and sister, Elizabeth Conley.

Those surviving to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sherry Irene (Michael) Blankenship of Bean Station , Tennessee; son, Michael Glenn Hackney of Jamboree, Kentucky; brothers, Homer Thacker of Hazard, Kentucky, and Charles Thacker of Leburn, Kentucky; sisters, Shirley Combs, Gladys Smith, and Irene Triplett all of Leburn, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kristin (Chris) Howerton, Jordan (Amy) Blankenship, Brandice Hackney, Dalton Hackney, and Harley Hackney; and her great-grandchildren. 

A private graveside service will be held Friday, May 26th, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. Noon at Dotson Cemetery in Beech Creek at Jamboree, Kentucky with burial to follow.
