Bonnie “Hurley” Daugherty, 78, of Cynthiana, KY, former resident of Phelps, KY, passed away June 1st, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Bonnie was born on June 3rd, 1945, a loving daughter of the late Audley and Annie “Blankenship” Hurley.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her husband, Garry Daugherty, brothers, Orville and Paul David Hurley, and her sister, Tootsie Collins.
Bonnie was a longtime restaurant manager of Lee’s Famous Recipe in South Williamson, Kentucky. After it closed, she relocated to Lee’s in Cynthiana, KY and worked until she retired. Bonnie enjoyed attending Webster Ave. Church of God in Cynthiana with her sister Clemey and she always looked forward to singing in the choir. They always bragged about how the Hurley sisters could sing. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her cat, Tiger.
Those surviving to honor the legacy of Bonnie include her brother, Nick Hurley of Phelps, KY; two sisters, Clemey Hurley of Cynthiana, KY, and Colleen Hurley of Newman, GA.
Bonnie also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 at the Jones & West Funeral Home located at 37035 State Highway 194 East in Phelps, Kentucky.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 5th, 2024 in the chapel with Pastor Ronnie Corbin officiating.
Interment will conclude in Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Kentucky.
