Brayleighn Gail Wolford-Blankenship was born on December 2, 2025, at UK children’s Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Though her time on earth was brief, she brought immeasurable love and light to her family. On December 8, 2025, she passed peacefully at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio, cradled in the care and devotion of those who cherished her.
Brayleighn was the beloved daughter of Savannah and Richard Wolford of Stopover, Kentucky. Her presence was a gift that will forever be treasured.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Kathleen Blankenship; three grandfathers, Alfred Blankenship, Clarence “Hammer” Blankenship, and Jessie Church; two uncles, Greeley “Bacon” Hurley, and Cody Blankenship; and one aunt, Brenda Blankenship. Their love now surrounds her in eternal rest.
Those left to honor her memory include her great-grandparents, Vernie (Jessie) Blankenship and Wimpie (Bernice) Wolford; grandparents, Pam (William) Wolford, Trish (Steven) Hamilton, and Robin Stanislaus; aunt Kimberly (Corey) McIntosh; great-aunts, Karen (Mikey) Coleman, Kyra Blankenship, Alivia Church, Shiane Church, Stevanie Hamilton, and Jennifer Sparks; uncles: Ricky "Harley" (Rebecca) Wolford, Henry (Crystal) Wolford, Kenneth Blankenship, Curtis (Jessica) Hamilton, Steve Hamilton, Anthony (Kaylena) Sparks; cousins, Danny, Millie, Emma, Samaria, Micah, Doolittle, Haylee, Dakota, and Mia Bladen Sparks and Nova Sparks; and her Godmother, Summer Dayton. Each of them held her close in their hearts during her short but beautiful life.
Though Brayleighn’s days were few, her impact was profound. She reminded all who loved her of the preciousness of life, the strength of family, and the power of love. Her memory will live on in the stories told, the prayers whispered, and the hearts that will forever carry her name.
