Obituary
Brian K. Layne, “Hippy Joe” age 51 of Freeburn, Ky. departed this life on January 24, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Born December 9, 1971 at South Williamson KY. a son of the Late Boyd Layne, and Judy Franklin Layne of Lexington, KY.
Other than his father he was preceded by grandparents Hulen and Ida Stevens Layne, and Pat and Mae Franklin.
Brian leaves to mourn his passing, mother Judy, a brother Ray E. Layne of Versailles, KY. one sister Lisa Dawson of Freeburn, Ky. nephew Charles Dawson IV, niece Charlize Dawson and a host of family and friends.
Brian enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, car shows, and rooster fights. He liked to spend time with his family and friends. He loved his little dog Boo.
The family of Brian will begin receiving friends at the Jones & West Funeral Home on Sunday January 29th at 6:00 P.M. there will be visitation on Sunday and Monday night. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday January 31, 2023 at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at the Billy Dotson Cemetery at Phelps, KY.
