Carolyn Ann (Casey) Ratliff

Carolyn Ann Ratliff, 70 of Ransom, KY, passed away at her residence on August 6th, 2024.  She was born at Grundy, VA, a loving daughter of the late James Casey & Minnie (Smith) Casey. 

In addition to Carolyn’s parents, she was also preceded by her cherished husband, Roger Dale Ratliff, three brothers, Bobby Casey, Anthony Casey, and Charlie Casey, and two sisters, Mary Casey, and Janet Dotson.

Carolyn was a beloved mother and grandmother which she took great pride in.  She embraced her role as a proud homemaker and taking care of her family.  Carolyn was a faithful follower of L.F.A. TV podcast and was of the Baptist faith.  In her spare time, Carolyn loved gardening her plants, flowers and being outdoors.  She also enjoyed listening to music.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Nick (Marie) Ratliff of Sevierville, TN, and Jessica (Mitchell) Varney of Kimper, KY; her sister, Kaye Lester of Phelps, KY; a special sister-in-law, Bonnie Casey of Phelps, KY; and three grandchildren, Lexi Coleman, Payden Ratliff, and Alyssa Pittman. 

Carolyn also leaves behind her loving nieces & nephews, extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at the Jones & West Funeral Home, Phelps, KY from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. with special services at 7:00 P.M. with Elder Mike Smith officiating.
