Charles Edward Casey

Charles Edward Casey 76, lifelong resident of Phelps, KY passed away August 11th, 2023, at Pikeville Medical Center. 

He was born at Coleman, KY on March 7th, 1947, to the late Shorty and Sadie (Kender) Casey.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by his brother, Ronald Lee Casey.

Those surviving to honor the memory of Charles include his loving wife of 55 years, Janice Casey; daughters, Patricia Ann Ketron, and her husband Keith; Heather Renea Webb and her husband Matthew; sister, Dixie Ann Smith, and her husband Jerry; several nieces and nephews.  Charles also leaves behind many friends and extended family and  his wonderful church family.

Charles was a retired Coal Miner.  He was the assistant pastor of Two Hands for Christ Church at Paw Paw, KY.  He loved his church family, especially going to the nursing home on Wednesday nights and sharing the gospel of Jesus.  He never met a stranger, and always wanted to tell everyone of the goodness of God and win souls for Heaven.  He enjoyed golf in his spare time and spending time with his family. 

The family would like to welcome friends at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, for a memorial service to celebrate the life of Charles at Two Hands for Christ Church at Paw Paw, KY.  Ervin Dotson, Tommy Conn, Kenny Chapman, and Arnold Dotson will be officiating.
