Clifford Mark Sullivan

Clifford Mark Sullivan, 57 of Phelps, KY passed away July 10th, 2024, at Pikeville Medical Center following a brief battle with cancer.  Clifford was born in Grundy, VA on April 9th, 1967, to Georgia (Young) Sullivan of Phelps, KY and the late Herbert Sullivan. 

In addition to Clifford’s dad, he was also preceded by one brother, Gregory “Slick” Sullivan and one sister, Ollie Daniels. 

Clifford was a simple man enjoying the simplicity of his life.  He loved the outdoors and feeling the sunshine on his face.  Clifford liked to tailgate and listen to music.  He also enjoyed fishing and riding his four-wheeler.  No matter what kind of day Clifford had, he always had a smile on his face.  Most importantly, Clifford recently gave his life to the Lord. 

Those remaining to honor Clifford’s memory include his mother, Georgia (Young) Sullivan of Phelps, Ky; one son, Mark Sullivan of North Carolina; sisters, Penny Blankenship, and Kimberly Hamilton both of Stopover, KY, and Sherry Hurley of Phelps, KY; one brother, Gary Sullivan of Stopover, KY.

Clifford leaves behind a loving host of nieces & nephews, great nieces & great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

A private funeral was held, and interment concluded at Young Cemetery on Mill Creek at Hurley, VA.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY.
