Dallas Ray Lee Sr.

It is with a sorrowful heart that we announce the passing of Dallas Ray Lee Sr., 73, of Majestic, Kentucky.  Dallas was born September 1st, 1951, at Sand Siding, WV, to the late Sherman Lee & Virginia (Mounts) Lee.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by one brother, Buddy Lee; and a sister, Shirley Bentley.

Dallas was a retired coal miner working hard throughout his life to provide for his family.  When he was able, he enjoyed attending Barrenshea Church of God where he always felt at home there.  Dallas believed his family circle wouldn’t be broken in Heaven.  He had a great sense of humor and was always so much fun to be around.

Those remaining to honor and cherish the memory of Dallas include his son, Dallas Ray Lee Jr. (Danielle Justice) of Mammoth Cave, KY; daughter, Wendy Slone (Charles Eldridge) of Phelps, Kentucky; two brothers, Charles Lee of Freeburn, KY, and Bradley Lee of Tennessee; four sisters, Lena Dotson, Bernice Pruitt both from Phelps, Kentucky, and Maxine Hall, Margaret Maynard both from Majestic, Kentucky.

Dallas was the devoted Papaw to Brianna Slone of Brockport, NY, Mackenzy Whitt of Phelps, KY, Addison & Brayden Lee of Mammoth Cave, KY.

Dallas enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to music.  He loved planting flowers, tending to them and watching them grow.  He had a special love for animals but most of all, the unwavering love he had for his family and grandchildren never went unnoticed and his love and memories will carry on with them.

 
The family would like to invite friends for visitation on Saturday, January 25th, 2025 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. with special services beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the Jones & West Funeral Home in Phelps, Kentucky.  

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon Sunday in the chapel with Roger Hall officiating.

Interment will conclude in the Mounts Cemetery at Sand Siding, WV.
