Daniel Lee Mounts

Daniel Lee Mounts 41, of Delbarton, WV passed away at his residence on January 7th, 2024.  He was born in Williamson, WV on June 24th, 1982, to Roberta “Hatfield” Mounts and the late Cleties Mounts. 

Daniel was of the Odinist faith.  He enjoyed digging ginseng, riding four wheelers, being outdoors and working on cars.  Daniel was a real family man, reliable, loyal, and unapologetically blunt. 

In addition to Daniel’s mother, Roberta Mounts of Freeburn, KY, he also is survived by his wife, Stephanie “Dials” Mounts of Huntington, WV; his loving children, Daniel Joe Mounts of Logan, WV, Preston Tyler Mounts of Huntington, WV, Christopher Allen Mounts of WV, Athena Mounts of Delbarton, WV, and Kierra Dials of Williamson, WV; brothers, Curtis Jessie Hatfield of Parkersburg, WV, and Cletis (Viola) Mounts of Ragland, WV; sisters, Amy Hall of Matewan, WV, Michelle Crabtree of Freeburn, KY, and Hazel (John) Runyon of Ragland, WV; one grandson, Tre’mir Boatwright of Williamson, WV; and a special friend, Roxie Bowen of Matewan, WV.  Daniel also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to welcome friends on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, Kentucky for visitation.

On Sunday, January 14th, 2024, a celebration of life will begin at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel.

Interment will conclude at Browning Cemetery in Pie, WV.  Active pallbearers include Frankie Church, Kenneth Hatfield, Kenneth Ingersoll, Landon Dingess, Kenny Dials, and Brian Duty.
