Deborah Kay (Burchett) May, age 59, resident of McVeigh, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, surrounded by the love of her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Deborah was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 30th, 1965, the loving daughter of the late William Burchett & Georgia (Mounts) White.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her siblings, Greg, Timmy, and Tamara White.
Deborah was the owner/operator of Pro Clean in Frankfort, Kentucky for several years. She took great pride in her business and serving her customers. Deborah was a proud homemaker and anyone who knew Deborah knew her amazing cooking skills, her contagious laugh, and her generous and compassionate heart. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and friend to many, Deborah was very devoted to her family and of the Pentecostal faith. Deborah was a familiar face at her grandchildren's events, cheering them on with unwavering support and beaming pride, a testament to her deep involvement in their lives. Deborah enjoyed listening to country & bluegrass music and was an avid Nascar fan.
Those remaining to cherish Deborah’s memory include her devoted husband, Tim May of McVeigh, KY; her cherished children, James (Alysa) May of Stone, KY, Timmy May of McVeigh, KY, Georgia (Johnathan) Fields of Georgetown, KY, and Brittany (Matthew) Stacy of Brushy; step-father, Harry White of Blackberry, KY; one brother, William Burchett of Nashville, TN; and a host of special cousins, extended family & friends.
Deborah was the adored grandmother to Deborah Estep, Madison Fields, Jacob Fields all of Georgetown, KY, Blakely May, Charlotte “Char” May, and baby Trevor May who is on the way, and Holly Brooke all of Stone, KY, TK May, Mayleah “Baby Kay” May, and Anakin May from McVeigh, KY.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Faith Goepel for her love and help she generously provided during the past few months.
A special thank you to Tiffany Blair for going above and beyond for all the wonderful care you have given Deborah in the past few years. It never went unnoticed, and it will never be forgotten.
Deborah's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, especially her family, who were the center of her world.
Visitation will be held each night on November 13th & 14th, 2025 beginning at 6:00 P.M. and services starting at 7:00 P.M. with Pastors, Larry Blackburn and Benny Freeman officiating at the Jones & West Funeral Home located at 37035 State Highway 194.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 15th, 2025 in the chapel.
Entombment will follow at Mt. View Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Huddy, Kentucky.
