Donna Sue (Stump) Dotson

Donna Sue Dotson, age 62, of Phelps, Ky. departed this life on Tuesday, September 25th, 2023, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.

She was born March 22nd, 1961, in Williamson, WV. a daughter of the late Western and Truby Stump. Donna was also preceded by her brothers Teddy Stump, and Randy Stump, sisters Debbie Hurley, and Sandy Wolford, niece Bridget Stump  nephew Terry Stump Jr., and great-granddaughter Paisley Oaklynn.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Frelin Dotson, son Dwayne (Keona) Dotson of McCarr, KY.; stepson Danny Dotson of Freeburn, KY;  daughter Ashley Stump (Kenneth) of Belfry, KY; stepdaughter Ginger (Joey) Duty of IL.; brother Terry “Lurch” (Denise) Stump of Phelps, KY; sister Tammy Johnson of MI; and her dog Buttercup. She is also survived by grandchildren Makayla, Ken, Haley, Adyson, Joseph, Daniel, Brooklyn, Danny Joe, and Madison; two great-grandchildren Gracelyn, and Asher.  A host of nieces and nephews and many friends.

Donna was of the Christian Faith.  She loved yard sales and working at restaurants. She enjoyed spending time with her friends. Donna loved her grandchildren more than life.

The family will begin receiving friends on Saturday, September 30th, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the Jones & West Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be Sunday, October 1st, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the chapel with Archie Dotson officiating. Interment will be at the Dotson Family Cemetery on 632 road, Phelps, KY.
