Emma Mae (Marcum) Smith

Emma Mae “Marcum” Smith 70, of Belfry, KY, passed away on November 20th, 2023, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.  She was born March 7th, 1953, to the late James and Maxine “Meade” Marcum.

In addition to Emma’s parents, she was also preceded by her brothers, Virgil, Joshua, and Harry Marcum, a sister, Geraldine Marcum Hayes, and several nieces and nephews.

Emma was a member of Jesus Way Church in Belfry, KY.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her little dog Josie that she loved as her child.

Those surviving to honor the memory of Emma includes her children, Paul Gene Smith, and Tony Ray McCoy of Belfry, KY; sisters, Gladys Jeffrey of Belfry, KY, Rita Blackburn of Williamson, WV, Angela Newton Marcum of Huntington, WV, Adeline Blankenship of Stopover, KY, and Lola Blackburn of Lansing, MI; brother, Ivan (Donna) Marcum of Hardy, KY.
