Frank Jr. Robinett

Frank Jr. Robinett, 85, of Stopover, Kentucky passed away July 17th, 2023, at Pikeville Medical Center.  Frank was born June 6th, 1938, at Stopover, Kentucky and was the son of the late Ira and Florence “Ferrell” Robinett.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by his loving wife, Gloria “Hall” Robinett, brothers, Charlie Robinett, infant brother, Lincoln, sisters, Mary Alice Allen, and Nellie Trent.

Frank was a lifetime resident of Stopover, Kentucky.  He was a member of Majestic Church of Christ.  Frank was 32nd degree Mason, having been a member of Thomas DeVinney Masonic Lodge of Freeburn, KY.  He was also a Shriner.  He enjoyed riding horses in his spare time.  Frank took care of a lot of people throughout his life.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Those surviving Frank include his children, a special adopted son, Franklin “Bug” Wolford of Stopover, Ky; adopted son, Stewart Wolford; adopted daughter, Angela Wolford; step- daughters, Teresa Bevins of Lexington, Ky; Leshia (Greg) Newsome of Pikeville, Ky; step-sons, Darrell (Missy) Hall of Ohio; sister, Betty Mae “Robinett” Pascute of Warren, Ohio; adopted grandchildren, Chasity Wolford, Kashenna Wolford, and Jessica (Travis) Fletcher; step-grandchildren, Katie Diana of Long Island, NY, Tyler Newsome of Pikeville, Ky, Joshua Hall of Salt Lake City, UT, and Chelsea Dawn Wolford of Thornhill, TN.  Special friends, Rick Lester, and Hilda Francis of Stopover, Ky and a host of nieces and nephews. 

The family will begin receiving friends at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, July 20th, 2023, at the Jones & West Funeral Home in Phelps, and Friday, with special services beginning at 7:00 P.M. with Marshall Daniels officiating. 

The funeral service will begin at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Marshall Daniels officiating.  Interment will follow at Robinett Cemetery in Stopover, Kentucky.  Pallbearers include Judge Keith Hall, Judge Robbie Wright, Judge Tommy May, Franklin “Bug” Wolford, Stewart Wolford, Rick Lester, Melvin Ferrell, Greg Newsome, Tyler Newsome, Tony Dotson, and Jordan Dotson.
