Janice Gwynn (Smith) Smith

Janice Gwynn Smith, 77 of Canada, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on March 29th, 2025.

Janice was born April 21st, 1947.  She was the daughter of the late Orison Woodrow & Ollie May Smith.  

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her brothers, Ronnie Dale Smith, Rodney Neal Smith and a granddaughter LaWanda G Smith.
Janice was a proud homemaker, and she worked various jobs throughout her life.  She was of the Baptist faith.  

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Harold Smith of Canada, KY; her son, Kenneth Rodney (Sonja) Smith of Forest Hills, KY; and her daughter, Lisa Lynn (Chris) Ball of Rogersville, TN; her beloved Yorkie, Miss Ollie; siblings, Sandra Blackburn of Sidney, KY, Judith (Billy) Smith of Huddy, KY, Jennifer (Jack) Varney, and Jeffery (Verna) Smith both of Pinsonfork, KY.

Janice was the loving grandmother to Autumn Gail (Garrett) Justice of Forest Hills, KY, and John Tyler Ball of Rogersville, TN; three great-grandchildren, Cash, Shiloh, and Walker.

Janice leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.

Honoring Janice’s wishes, cremation will take place.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at the Highlands Presbyterian Church at Canada, Kentucky.

Burial will be in the Smith Family Cemetery at Canada, Kentucky.
