Jeanne Ann Maynard

Jeanne Ann Maynard of Pikeville, KY passed away Wednesday January 27, 2021 at her son’s residence. She was born June 15, 1949 in Sidney, KY the daughter of the late Sammy M. and Cora Jean “Lucas” Maynard. She was 71 years old.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Johnny Richard Maynard and a brother: Buddy Ray Maynard.

Jeanne was a self-employed housekeeper who loved fishing and camping. She always had a houseful for dinner on Sunday, her home was always open to everyone. She loved cooking, spending time with her family, and enjoyed family events.  She enjoyed making people laugh and loved life. Jeanne attended the Leckieville Freewill Baptist Church until her health declined.

Survivors to honor her memory include her sons: Lewie “Rick” Maynard (Tammy Coleman) of Stone, KY and John Michael (Tammy) Maynard of Johns Creek, KY, a daughter: Maryann (Homer) Hite of Kimper, KY, a sister: Mary Dye of Pikeville, KY, seven grandchildren: Chase, Amber, Devin, Cayley, Emily, Nick, and Harley the grandson she raised, special friends who were like sisters: Ann Lillian Smith and Cheryl Bernard. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

The family will be having a graveside memorial service Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Maynard Cemetery of Stratton Fork, Sidney, KY.
