Jimmy Welch Obituary

Jimmy Welch, 70, of Freeburn, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1949 in Saint Augustine, Florida, the son of the late Junnie Welch & Thelma “Smith” Taylor.

Jimmy was a heavy equipment operator and was quite the jokester, always making people laugh. His favorite pastimes in life were spending time with his grandchildren, watching westerns, and fishing.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife: Roxann “Young” Welch; two daughters: Jannie (George) Flood of Auburndale, FL; Crystal Norman of Lakeland, FL; four grandchildren: Hunter Welch, Kryslin Dotson, Hope Johnson, Madyson Norman & one great grandchild on the way, little Miss Kendall Renee Dotson.

In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
