Johnda Sue (Stump) Dotson

With a sorrowful heart we announce the passing of Johnda Sue (Stump) Dotson, age 49, of Phelps, Kentucky, on July 1st, 2024, at her residence.  Johnda was born at South Williamson, Kentucky on September 13th, 1974, a loving daughter of Johnny & Sue Stump of Phelps, Kentucky.   

Johnda was preceded by her maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Jackson and her in-laws, Clinton & Dolores Dove.

Johnda was a proud homemaker and enjoyed the simple things in life.  She cherished her children, adored her grandbabies, and loved caring for her dog, Smoke.  Johnda enjoyed feeling the wind in her face while taking a ride on her Harley Davidson.   She was an adventurous person when it came to traveling, with the beach being her favorite destination.

In addition to Johnda’s parents, Johnny & Sue Stump of Phelps, KY she leaves behind her better half of 28 years, Timmy Dove of Phelps, KY; her treasured children to honor her legacy,  Shea (D.J.) Harshaw of Knoxville, TN, Chase Dove and his wife, Lexie of Morristown, TN, and Chrystal Huskey and her husband, Brandon of Sevierville, TN; one brother, Chris Stump and his wife Michelle of Phelps, KY; and one sister, Lynn Stump of Phelps, KY; paternal grandparents, Jessie & Opal Stump of Phelps, KY, and her maternal grandfather, George Jackson, and step-grandmother, Gail Jackson also of Phelps, KY; four grandchildren, Isaiah & Isabella Mitchell, and Bentlee & Brycen Dove.

Johnda leaves behind a host of loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.

The family would live to invite friends for visitation on July 5th, 2024 beginning at 6:00 P.M. with special services at 7:00 P.M. at the Jamboree Church of God in Phelps, KY. located at 36487 State Highway 194 East.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon, July 6th, 2024 at the church with Pastor Tommy Dotson officiating. 

Interment will conclude at Lydia Smith Cemetery on Bones Branch at Phelps with Chase Dove, Tyler Preece, Jordan Wolford, Chris Stump, Tyler Stump, and Preston Stump serving as Pallbearers. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Jones & West Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
