Justin Howard (JJ) Justice

Justin Howard Justice, 36, resident of Phelps, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026.  Justin was born in Pikeville, KY, on October 7th, 1989, the loving son of Charles Justice & the late Sophia (Hurley) Justice.

JJ as he was fondly remembered by, was a good dad and loved his children deeply.  He treasured the time he spent with his family.  JJ had a passion for handyman and contractor work.  Whether helping someone with a project, building something, or offering a helping hand, JJ always gave his best.

He will be remembered for his warm smile, kindness, and the love he had for his family.  His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. 

JJ is survived by his dad, Charles Justice of Phelps, KY; his cherished children, Kylee Marie Justice of Phelps, KY, Kaleb Johnson and Jayla Lashae Dotson both of Ohio; sister, Charley Justice of Phelps, KY; the mother of his children, Karla Dotson of Phelps, KY; nieces and nephews, Cody Johnson, Kendra Lashae Williams and Carley Marie Williams; a good friend, Anita Collins.  JJ also leaves behind a host of extended family and an abundance of friends.

Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 on Friday, May 29th, 2026 at the Jones & West Funeral Home located at 37035 Highway 194 E. 

The funeral service will begin after visitation at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel with Pastors Odis Blankenship and Larry Rife officiating. 

Burial will conclude at the Prater Cemetery in Barrenshea at Freeburn, KY.
