Karena A.C. (Varney) Blevins

Karena A.C. “Varney” Blevins 42, of Piketon, OH passed away Saturday June 5, 2021, at her residence. She was born July 30, 1978, in Pikeville, KY the daughter of Toy M. “Young” Varney of Piketon, OH and the late William J. Varney.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother: Nelson Varney.

Karena was a cabinet factory worker having worked for Mills Pride. She loved her family, children, grandchildren, and her sisters.

She enjoyed cooking, painting, flower gardens, and sitting on the porch. Karena also loved to watch T.V. especially soap operas. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Besides her mother: Toy Varney, survivors remaining to cherish her memory include three sons: Henry (Shania) Blevins of Piketon, OH, Austin Blevins also of Piketon, OH and David Courtney (Danielle), a daughter: Amber Blevins of Peebles, OH, two sisters: Toyetta Daniels (Lee Skeens) of Sidney, KY, and Kimberly (Daniel) Dillon also of Sidney, KY, eight grandchildren: Nycole, Junior, Mason, Jacob, Dakotta, Danielle, Harper, and Braelynn. She is also survived by two nieces, three nephews, and a host of extended family, neighbors, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Pilgrims Home Church of Brushy RD, Varney KY Friday, June 11, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. with Elder Richard Staten & others officiating.

Burial will follow in the A. C. & Wesley Young Cemetery of Brushy RD, Varney, KY.

Visitation will be at the church Wednesday & Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. with special services at 7:00 P.M. each evening.
