Larry Dean Blackburn

Larry Dean Blackburn, 68, of McAndrews, KY passed away July 28th, 2023, at Pikeville Medical Center.

He was born April 27th, 1955, at Sharondale, KY to the late Ernest and Gertie “Varney” Blackburn.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by three brothers, Alvin, Glendale, and Gary Blackburn and his niece, Patty Russell.

Those surviving to cherish Larry’s memory include his daughter, Kasondra (Raymond) Barnes of Lexington, Ky; brothers, Clayton (Debbie) Blackburn of Archbold, OH; Denver (Geneva) Blackburn of Taylor, MI; sister,  Gethel Lowe of McAndrews, KY; honorary brother, Frank Roy Pinson of Pikeville, KY best buddy since childhood.  Grandchildren, Austin Blackburn of Florida, Anthony and Andrew Barnes of Lexington, KY.  Special nephews, Patrick Lowe (Melissa Richards) of Nimitz, WV, and Ernie (Krissy) Blackburn of Turkey Creek, Ky and a special friend, Angie Chapman.

Larry loved to hunt and enjoy the outdoors, woods, and gardening.  He always enjoyed spending time with his best friend, his dog Bear. 

Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and no service is scheduled at this time.
