Larry Artemis Lester

Larry Artemis Lester, age 66, resident of Phelps, Kentucky, passed away at his residence on February 17th, 2025.  

Larry was born on March 21st, 1958, a loving son of the late Artemis Lester & Janie Lee “Sanson” Whitt and Lloyd Whitt who raised him.

In addition to Larry’s parents, he was also preceded by his life-long partner, Debra Fuller; three brothers, Hansel Ray Lester, Kevin Whitt, and Darius Lester; and a great-granddaughter, Indy Mullins.

Larry was a devoted dad, grandpa, and great grandpa.  He enjoyed digging ginseng, going to chicken fights, and collecting old coins.   Larry had the biggest heart and would help anyone in need.  He was known for his calm and humble demeanor.  Larry will be missed by all that cherished him.

Those surviving Larry include his daughters, Tonya Collins of Bluff City, TN, and Jacinda Fuller of Phelps, KY; two brothers, Mike (Jennifer) Whitt of Phelps, KY, and Frank ( Betty) Sanson, of Ohio; one sister, Debbie Wright, of Phelps, KY; grandchildren, Briana Collins, Amelia (Dawson) Mullins, Landon Lester, and Brayden Ray; great grandchildren, Zoey Mullins, Kolby Mullins, Iris Mullins, and Wesley Parker Collins.

A memorial service will be announced by the family.
