Laurie Keating

Laurie Keating 68, of Freeburn, KY passed away February 17th, 2024, at her residence.  She was born in Rittman, Ohio on July 13th, 1956, a proud daughter of the late Don & Teresa Beery.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her husband, Charles Keating.

Laurie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Phelps, KY.  She was a former EMT with Phelps Ambulance Service.  Laurie loved caring for animals and the outdoors.  In her spare time, she enjoyed riding four wheelers and fishing.  Most of all, Laurie’s pride and joy was found in her family, grandchildren, and her friends.

Those remaining to mourn the loss of Laurie includes her son, Charles Dawson III of Matewan, WV; grandchildren, Charlize Dawson of Freeburn, KY and Charles Dawson IV of Georgetown, KY., and her special friend Lisa Dawson whom she loved like a daughter.

Honoring the wishes of Laurie, cremation will take place.  No services are scheduled currently.
