Lillie Mae Maynard

Lillie Mae Maynard, age 73, resident of Phelps, Kentucky, passed away on May 29th, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center.

Lillie was born in Pike County, KY, on January 31st, 1952, the loving daughter of the late William & Ora Mae (Jude) Maynard.

In addition to Lillie’s parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Danny Ray Maynard, Ronnie Maynard, and Thomas Lee Maynard, and one sister, Rosa Casey.

Lillie was of the Church of God faith, and she loved serving the Lord.  No matter what the denomination, Lillie attended all churches and enjoyed hearing the word of God and sharing His love with others. 

Lillie liked collecting crosses, hairbows, and necklaces.  She was a sweet person and full of life.  Everyone knew Lillie and loved her. 

Those surviving Lillie include her second mommy, Irene Stell of Freeburn, KY; one sister, Nancy Maynard of Louisville, Kentucky; and ten children the Lord blessed her to  birth.

Lillie had a host of special friends and staff at Good Shepherd Nursing Home that she loved as her own family. 

A visitation from 12:00-1:00 P.M. will be held on June 6th, 2025 at the Jones & West Funeral Home and Memorial service following at 1:00 P.M. with pastor Odis Blankenship officiating.
