Linda Kay (Watson) Hurley

Linda Kay Hurley 53, of Stopover, Ky., passed away April 2nd, 2023, at Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born in Woodman, Ky. on April 16th, 1969, to Lilly Daniels of Woodman, Ky and the late Drew Watson.  In addition to her dad, she is also preceded by her son, Charles A. Hurley; mother in law, Vernice Hurley; grandson, Kolbie Thomas; brother, Thomas Watson; and like a daughter, Rayann Thacker.

Linda was of the Christian Faith.  She loved four wheeling, hunting, and fishing.  She enjoyed tending to her grandbabies and going out with her daughter.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt.  She will be sadly missed by all who adored her. 

Those surviving Linda are her husband, Charles Hurley of Stopover; daughters, Tiffany Hurley and her companion, Donnie Scarberry of Woodman, Ky; Brittany (Justin ) Thomas of Hardy, Ky; mother, Lilly Daniels of Woodman, Ky; step daughter, Jennifer Hurley of Jamboree, Ky; sisters, Marlena (Willis) Dotson of Freeburn, Ky; Josie (Greg) Collins of Matewan, WV; Edith (Jeff) Depriest of Ohio; sister in law, Tina (Thurman) Coleman of Paw Paw, Ky; brother in law, Brady (Heather) Hurley of Woodman, Ky; father in law, Samuel Hurley of Woodman, Ky; five grandchildren, Andrew Hurley; Dakota Hurley; Zayden Hurley; Damien Hurley; and Trenton Thomas; nieces and nephews, Travis (Kayla) Hurley of Blacksburg, VA, Matthew, Tyler and Ashley Hurley of Woodman, Ky, Connie Daniels of Williamson, WV; Cheyanne (Thomas) Watson of Ohio, Alex Dotson, of Freeburn, Ky, James Collins of Hardy, Ky; and Alicia Collins of Matewan, WV.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 7th, 2023, at Jones & West Funeral Home in Phelps, Ky. with Pastor Denny Land officiating.  Visitation will be held nightly Wednesday, April 5th, 2023, at 6:00 P.M. and Thursday, April 6th, 2023, with special services at 7:00 P.M.  Interment will be at Barker Cemetery in Phelps, Ky.  Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
