Lloyd Wolford

Lloyd Wolford, 65, a resident of Steele, Kentucky, passed away at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky on December 15th, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Lloyd was born in Phelps, Kentucky on October 23rd, 1959, and was the son of the late Freddie & Glada (Blankenship) Wolford.  

Besides his parents, he was also preceded by his brothers, Danny Boy Wolford, and Billy Ray Wolford.

Lloyd was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed going to Jesus Tabernacle Church at Feds Creek, Kentucky.  Lloyd found joy in the simplicity of life.  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying weed eating, mowing his lawn, and riding his bicycle.  

Those surviving Lloyd include his wife, Sandra Wolford of Steele, KY; two sons, T.J. Hartman of FT Leavenworth, KS, and Chris (Ashley) Hartman of McDowell, KY; his adopted daughter and granddaughter that he adored, Ashley West and Kaelyn West of Feds Creek, KY; one brother, Larry (Patty) Wolford of Stopover, KY; sisters, Macie Blankenship and her fiancé, Eli of Stopover, KY, Norma Jean Justice of Big Card, KY, Diane (Raymond) Hurley of Stopover, KY, Ellen Combs of Phelps, KY, and Mae (Frank) Blankenship of Stopover, KY.  Lloyd also leaves behind a host of extended family & friends.

Lloyd was the treasured Paw Paw to Amelia, Oakley, and Emma.  Family was the cornerstone of his life and Lloyd cherished every moment he spent with them creating a lifetime of blessed memories.  Lloyd would help anyone in need.  He had the humblest heart and a selfless spirit.  He always worried about other people’s needs before his own.  His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.     

Funeral services for Lloyd will be held at 1:00 P.M. on December 21st, 2024 at the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, Kentucky located at 37035 Highway 194 East with Revered Hobart McCoy officiating.

Burial will follow in Motley at the Sullivan Family Cemetery with Chris Hartman, Charlie West, Austin Sullivan, Earl Justice, Eric Wolford, and Christopher Hurley serving as Pallbearers.  
Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. December 19th, 2024 and December 20th, 2024 with special services Friday evening with Pastor Eric Wolford bringing the message at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel.
