Loretta Chapman age 65, of Majestic, KY departed this life on February 5th, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born October 31st, 1958, in Majestic, KY, a cherished daughter of the late Woodrow and Mae “Thorpe” Chapman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by a son, Patrick Chapman, brother, Woodrow Chapman Jr., and sister, Linda Sue Dotson.
Those left to mourn her passing and honor her loving memory include her sisters, Verna Chapman of Majestic, KY, Brenda Rowland of Ohio, Lola (Jeff) Conn of Ohio, Evelyn Joyce Bentley, of Freeburn, KY and Lisa Ann Norman of Athens, Ohio; and one granddaughter, Breanna Storm Chapman of Matewan, W.V. A host of nieces and nephews also survive her.
Loretta was of the Church of God Faith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed watching television and loved working puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
The family will be receiving friends on Saturday February 10th, 2024, from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the Jones & West Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Sunday, February 11th, 2024, with special services at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be Monday, February 12th, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. with pastors, Bobby Dale Wolford, and Doug Maynard officiating.
Interment will conclude at the Chapman Family Cemetery in Majestic, KY.
