Margie McClanahan Obituary

Margie McClanahan, 60, of Phelps, KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at her home.  She was born December 23, 1957 in Vulcan, WV, a daughter of the late Hodge & Pearl Wallace Mounts.  In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by one sister: Josephine Prater.

Margie was a homemaker and a member of Faith Tabernacle of Majestic, KY.  Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren, nothing could compare to the love she had for them.  She always said Jesus was her dearest friend.  Family to Margie went farther than bloodline, she called her church at Faith Tabernacle her second home.  She loved and cherished all her family there the same.  They were all so special to her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 41 years: Charles McClanahan; three sons: Chucky (Amanda) McClanahan of Phelps, KY, Cameron Johnson of Phelps, KY, & Charles Wayne McClanahan of Lexington, KY; two daughters: Kristy McClanahan of Phelps, KY, Katelyn (Paul) Mounts of McVeigh, KY; six brothers: Jack (Rebecca) Mounts of Vulcan, WV, Wayne Mounts of IL, Kenneth Wallace of Carlisle, KY, George Wallace of NC, Robert Wallace of NC, James Wallace of McCarr, KY; two sisters: Helen (Jim) Campbell of IN & Shirley Simms of AL; three grandchildren: Alexis McClanahan of Lexington, KY, Baylee & Reagan of Lexington, KY; and a host of family & friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday October 30, 2018 at Faith Tabernacle, Majestic, KY, with Revs: Charles Meek & Odis Blankenship officiating.

Burial will follow in the McClanahan Family Cemetery, Phelps, KY with family & friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Sunday and Monday at Faith Tabernacle with special services nightly at 7:00 P.M.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY.  The guestbook may be signed at www.joneswestfh.com.
