Marinda Jane (Browning) Hurley

Marinda Jane “Browning” Santos Hurley of Stopover, KY passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center.  She was born November 12, 1947 in Lincoln County, WV, the daughter of the late Wade Browning and Vina Elizabeth “Ramey” Browning.  She was 72 years old.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one stepson, Robert Lee Hurley, two brothers, Archie and Luther Browning, and two sisters, Fanny Hale and Elsie Mae Browning.

Marinda was a homemaker and a terrific cook, she loved her children, grandchildren, and her precious dog Snowball.  She was a member of the Faith Christian Church of Phelps, KY.  She was a collector of Indian and cat figurines and she loved anything that glittered & sparkled.

Survivors remaining to honor her memory include her husband: Greeley Hurley of Stopover, KY, two daughters:  Andrea and Julianna Santos both of Logan, WV, one stepdaughter: Veronica Lynn Tello of Ransom, KY, two step sons: Greeley Hurley Jr. of Stopover, KY, and Brian Keith (Larna) Hurley of Stopover, KY, two sisters: Zola Daniels of Matewan, WV and Flossie Owsley of Wooster, OH, five brothers: Less (Carol) Browning of Man, WV, George (Linda) Browning of Chapmanville, WV, Danny (Diann) Browning of Lake, WV, Donald (Kathy) Browning of Huntington, WV,  Denzil Browning, and seven step grandchildren.

In honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be conducted from 6:00 – 10:00 P.M Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Faith Christian Church with Reverend Donald Ray Davis officiating the service at 7:00 P.M.
