Mollie Lester, age 87, lifetime resident of Phelps, Kentucky, went to be with her Savior that she faithfully served for 60 plus years on February 5th, 2026, from her home.
Mollie was born on October 15th, 1938, in Phelps, Kentucky the loving daughter of the late Henry & Anise (Justice) Bowling. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her cherished husband of 54 years, Roosevelt Lester; two daughters, Kathy Norman, and Peggy Lester; a grandchild, Sabrina Renee Casey and one great-grandson, Ethan Ryan Sincell.
Those surviving to honor Mollie’s memory include her children, Bobby Ray Lester, Loretta (Daris Stevie) Kender, Rose Ann Francis, Jennifer Lynn (Michael) Whitt, Alexandria Brooke (Kenneth) Hurley, and Kathy LeeAnn Norman; grandchildren, Tangela Loretta Casey, Joshua Randall Casey, Chris Kender, Kayla Taylor, Kelsie Hardin, Crystal Gail Cox, Gary Jr. Sincell, Bobby Roosevelt Lester, Ezekiel Randall (Shanna) Ferrell, and Audrey Deann Whitt; great-grandchildren, Madyisn Hurley, Paisley Doss, Darrell Hurley, Katie Cox, Skyla Cox, Christian Cox, Autumn Cox, Crista Salmons, Christopher Salmons, and Emberlyn Rose Sincell.
Mollie took great pride in being a homemaker and raising her family. She was a dedicated and devoted member of the Lord's House Church in Phelps, Kentucky. No matter where you ran into her at, she would share with you how good God was and always had a hug and a smile for you. Mollie loved the outdoors, especially gardening, cooking and crocheting in her spare time. Mollie always looked forward to seeing her grandkids and spending time with them.
Mollie’s faith followed her in every aspect of her life, always guiding her actions with grace, wisdom and God’s love.
Visitation will be held Sunday & Monday, February 8th, and 9th, 2026 beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the Lord's House Church with special services starting at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral service will begin at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 at the church with Pastors Mitch Bowling, Chris Casey and Stevie Kender officiating.
Mollie will be lovingly laid to rest alongside her husband, Roosevelt, at the Lester Family Cemetery on Calloway Branch in Phelps, Kentucky.
